Emily Chambers 

Owner and manager 

Emily was the manager of playgroup for four years before she took it over as the new owner of Rising Stars in 2018. Emily has a  Bachelor of Arts degree in Childhood and Youth studies (level 6), first aid, and safeguarding and prevent training. Emily is the health and safety officer, she has food hygiene, behaviour management coordinator and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) 

Jo Ireland

Operations manager

Jo has been with playgroup before it became Rising Stars and has continued her role with us moving around in different areas. Jo oversees the running of the setting with Laura in the managers absence. Jo has a level 3 childcare qualification and over 20 years experience working in childcare. Jo is the deputy lead for safeguarding and although qualified her main role at playgroup is as the financial administrator and operations manager.

Laura Moskot

Deputy Manager 

Laura is a valued member of the team at Rising Stars and is always available to answer any questions parents have. Laura is level 3 qualified and has a number of years experience in previous nurseries. Laura is also first aid and safeguarding trained and has attended a number of courses since starting with us to develop her professional development.

Lianne Wilson 

Play Assistant

Lianne has been a part of the team for over a year now, she is qualified in childcare and teaching assistant with a number of years experience with all age groups of children. Lianne also has the full and relevant training in first aid and safe guarding.

Amy Chew

Play Assistant

Amy has recently gained her level 2 in childcare qualification and has health and safety, food hygiene, first aid and safe guarding training. Amy has been a parent if playgroup since her children attended and now works at Rising Stars as another valuable team member.

Emma Phelan 

Play Assistant and key holder 

Emma and Emily had worked together in childcare many years ago and so when the opportunity for Emma to come to Rising Stars came about she joined us and has been part of the playgroup growing ever since. Emma’s eldest child also attended playgroup before school and alongside her extensive knowledge and experience Emma is a supervisor with a level 3 qualification, first aid, safe guarding and also the deputy SENCO.
